BABY SUPPLY BANK
Helping Mamas ensures equitable access to essential items often excluded from traditional assistance programs, allowing our partners and parents to focus on higher-level goals such as job searching, education, recovery, and overall well-being.
Through our innovative programs and strong partnerships, Helping Mamas plays a vital role in reducing diaper need, improving family stability, and empowering parents to build healthier, more secure futures. Meanwhile, their children grow up in safe, nurturing environments with the resources they need to thrive.
By addressing these fundamental needs, we create lasting change, breaking cycles of poverty and strengthening communities one family at a time.
Bulk Distribution Program
We partner with organizations serving large numbers of children and families by providing bulk distributions of diapers and period products. This program ensures that essential supplies reach those in need efficiently and consistently.
Warehouse Shopping Program
Through our Warehouse Shopping Program, social workers and case managers from partner organizations can “shop” in our warehouse for baby essentials and period products. This program allows them to hand-select items tailored to the needs of the families they serve, ensuring direct access to critical supplies.
TANF Diaper Program
Families receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) can receive up to 1,200 diapers or pull-ups per child through this program. By reducing diaper insecurity, we help families allocate their limited resources toward other essential needs.
Library Diaper Program
Launched in 2024, our Library Diaper Program brings essential baby supplies closer to families by distributing diapers in four Gwinnett County libraries and two Fulton County libraries. This initiative not only meets urgent needs but also connects families to valuable library resources, creating a hub for support and community engagement.
Nursery Needs Program
Every baby deserves a strong start. Our Nursery Needs Program partners with community organizations to provide low-income families with essential baby supplies during the first four months of their child’s life. Parents receive diapers, wipes, car seats, strollers, and safe sleep solutions, helping to ensure their newborns have a healthy and secure beginning.
CAPS Diaper Program
Access to affordable childcare is a challenge for many families. Our CAPS Diaper Program supports parents receiving Childcare and Parent Services (CAPS) benefits by supplying diapers, wipes, car seats, and pack ‘n plays. This program also helps daycare providers who accept CAPS subsidies, ensuring they have the necessary resources to support the children in their care.
Safe Sleep and Ride Program
The safety of infants and children is our priority. Through the Safe Sleep & Ride Program, we provide families with safe sleeping options and age-appropriate car seats, ensuring that every child has a secure place to sleep and a safe way to travel.
Mobile Distribution & Community Events
Access to essential items should never be a barrier. Launched in 2020, our Mobile Distribution Program delivers critical supplies—diapers, period products, and baby essentials—directly into communities where they are needed most. We also actively participate in community resource events, partnering with organizations to connect families with support services and essential items in a dignified, accessible way.
Disaster Response
When disaster strikes, families shouldn’t have to worry about basic necessities. In 2024 alone, we provided more than 230,000 diapers and 177,000 period products across 18 counties in Georgia and Tennessee to support families recovering from natural disasters. Our Disaster Response Program ensures that families impacted by hurricanes, tornadoes, and other crises receive essential supplies like diapers, wipes, and period products when they need them most.
